History
The original name of the village was "Nowa Białka" and it stretches over 8 km in length. On the southern side of the town, there is a wide valley leading to the Białka Tatrzańska Tatras, thanks to which Białka Tatrzańska is very well sunlit considering the mountain climate.
From a tourist perspective, it is one of the most attractive mountain towns. Ideal conditions prevail here for practicing winter sports.
In Białka, there are several ski resorts:
- Kotelnica Białczańska Ski Resort,
- Bania Ski Lifts,
- Kaniowka Ski Station.
The Kotelnica Białczańska ski resort earned the prestigious title of Poland’s Best Ski Resort in 2017.
The Białka River is suitable for activities such as mountain kayaking and rafting, and the surrounding hills are also used by paragliders.
Since 2011, Terma Bania has also been located in Białka Tatrzańska, where the water in the pools is mineral water, which, thanks to the Earth's energy, reaches a high temperature and thus becomes thermal water containing: sulfides, silica, potassium, calcium, magnesium, and iron.
Such baths, among others, reduce stress, facilitate relaxation, and restore psychophysical balance. They also improve blood pressure and metabolism, support the weight loss process, eliminate headaches and insomnia, speed up convalescence, eliminate skin ailments and imperfections, significantly improving its appearance.
